Bravo Cocktail Party: April 23
It was the season finale of Summer House this week and we ended the season on a real high note. Drunk Kyle shirtless and eating chips after everyone else was in bed was one of my favorite tropes of the season and I was so glad that we got another scene with that this week! We also got Lindsay being activated, Hannah being self-centered, Stephen attempting to flee, Amanda and Paige being sweet friends and Carl and Danielle being the best. Everyone was true to form this week and I loved it!
On Real Housewives of Dallas, some of the ladies were being typically themselves, while others were trying to grow-D’Andra was trying to move forward with her stepmother and brother, Kary is trying to improve her relationship with her daughters and her mother, while still being the housewife that I would least like to go on a girls weekend with. Brandi is still a very strange party planner-love the idea of the weekend at the Southfork Dallas house, but really unsure about why she had Tiffany, Stephanie and herself all in one bedroom?? Tiffany was worried that she was being lured into some kind of love triangle, and I have to say that I was equally concerned-aren’t there more bedrooms in that mansion? Where are all of the husbands going to sleep when they arrive the next day?
I also have many questions for the ladies of New Jersey. For example, how does one become a yacht-owning Real Housewives ghostwriter like Emily? That really seems like living the dream to me. Also, I’d like to know many more details about Teresa’s new boyfriend, how Margaret gets those crazy ponytail extensions to stay on her head, and why Melissa thought it was a good idea to talk about her fifteen year old daughter’s sex life on camera?
Bravo Cocktail Party: April 23rd
Who Didn’t Make the Guest List:
Darrin The Shaman’s Nose Blowing Routine: I can’t get over how gross it is!
Hannah: Guys, she’s still the worst. When she started talking to the women about how Luke is still hung up on her and that she had told Des that Kyle was mean to her, and then she couldn’t understand why Amanda and Danielle weren’t as delighted with those situations as she was, I wanted to reach through the screen and pinch her. The other women are so over her fake Luke drama and of course Amanda doesn’t want to hear that Hannah’s been talking badly about her fiancee. Hannah’s obliviousness to anyone else’s feelings or perspective is wild, and I’m ready to see her cast mates calling her out on it at the reunion.
Lindsay and Stephen: I wanted them to work and it’s making me sad to watch their relationship head off the rails again.
Melissa: The way she has tried to make talking about the birds and bees with daughter her story arc this season really doesn’t sit well with me. Don’t make your fifteen year old talk about her body or her sex life on camera! It’s one thing if Melissa wanted to share her own teenage story with her daughter as a learning lesson, it’s another thing to comment on her daughter’s body and ask her how far she’s gone with her boyfriend. I literally can’t imagine anything worse when I was that age.
The Murder Mystery Crew on Dallas: What was going on with those people-the accents, the number of characters, the whole vibe was like no murder mystery party that I’ve ever seen before.
Who Made the Guest List:
Amanda and Kyle: They were so sweet and emotional about their “practice wedding.” They have grown so much as a couple over the past few years and I love the the pandemic seems to have brought them closer together and made them more in sync than ever.
Carl and Danielle: Best party planners and friends ever! I feel like we’ve gotten to know both of them on another level this season and I have nothing but love for them (and their personal style!). And I’m happy the Robert and Danielle are still together-he seems like a keeper!
The End of Summer Naked Pool Party: I love that Summer House tradition!
D’Andra and Jeremy: I think D’Andra has really made progress this season with how she handles her mother and her stepmother and that Jeremy has been a great support with all of that.
Brandi: I was into it when Brandi got mad at the women for dancing on the furniture in heels. After the women treated their last rental house so badly and basically trashed it, I loved that she was trying to make them have some manners in this house.
Jennifer and Her Mother: When Jennifer talked to her daughter about her parent’s arranged marriage and what that meant for her mother, I was very impressed with how she addressed the whole situation. Melissa should take a lesson in talking to teenagers about tricky subjects from Jennifer because she handled it an age appropriate manner and with real empathy. Jenn’s mother needs some love and a chance to make her future happier!
Teresa: Teresa’s heartbreak about losing her mother is still so raw and real and my heart really went out to her in this episode.
Jennifer’s Daughter Olivia: and the Giudice Girls: The kids on RHONJ are smart and funny and they crack me up every time they’re on screen.
