What We’re Reading and Watching

  • Twisted Family Values: A Novel is about multiple generations of a WASPy New Jersey family with plenty of secrets to hide and dysfunction all around. I love the names of the characters so much-I mean how could you go wrong with Bizzy and Choo for starters? -E

  • I just read a very fun YA book called Reverie about dreams coming to life and a team of teenagers who have to stop them. It had a great group of characters, incredible vivid descriptions and just enough twists and turns. - D

  • We both made time this week to watch Taylor Swift’s Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions on Disney+. She performs the entire Folklore album with the two main collaborators she worked with and gives insight into the inspiration for each song and her creative process. - D & E

What We’re Buying

  • I was looking for a longer fleece to wear around the house with leggings, but I didn’t want it to be full tunic length. I saw the onlypuff White Sherpa Sweatshirt from Amazon recommended on The Stripe and decided to give it a try, It’s so soft and the perfect length! The little zipper pocket gives it a little bit of a dressier touch, and I’ve been wearing it with leggings and white sneakers as often as I can. -E

  • I forgot how much I liked holiday season florals and have picked up an amaryllis bulb after my friend brought one as a Thanksgiving “thank you” gift. I also have my eye on some paperwhites and maybe two small poinsettias to flank my fireplace. Since I can’t light a fire, I love to style it! - D

  • Chad really wanted to upgrade the garlands that we have around our front door this year and he found the perfect ones at Balsam Hill. He ordered three of the Pine Peak Outdoor Garlands and they go perfectly together! Now, I’m just trying to decide if we need the matching wreath or if that would be overkill. -E

What We’re Making

  • My girls have been making the prettiest 3D paper snowflakes to hang in their rooms. This tutorial shows some examples of how to replicate it at home and this Youtube video is also great. It’s such a festive craft for older kids to do on their own with supplies you have around the house. -E
