What We’re Reading and Watching
As much as I know The Crown is inaccurate, I love escaping into the world of the Royal Family. The country houses, the clothes, the castles, the posh accents! I started watching Season 4 on Sunday and will likely finish it this week and then research to find out what is truth and what is fiction. Also, Gillian Anderson and Emma Corrin both do a fantastic job of embodying Margaret Thatcher and Princess Diana. - D
How did I not know about the podcast Boob Sweat with Katie Sturino until now? Sturino is one of my favorite influencers and I love her #SuperSizeTheLook series, where she duplicates celebrities looks in her size. Her podcast covers so many funny topics like, “Stop Lying About Your Botox” and “Same You, Different Size.” Katie was also recently a guest on the GOOP Beauty Podcast, which was a great episode. -E
What We’re Buying
Everything Mini Boden for Cece, especially corduroy leggings and this sweater. I noticed last week that with online school, my children were sliding into outfits that were maybe a little too comfortable and they basically looked like they were in pajamas all day. I ordered a bunch of stuff from Boden for Cece and she hasn’t taken these leggings off since them-they’re comfortable and warm but also a little nicer than standard leggings. -E
Is anyone else having massively dry skin issues? I am fully leaning into my winter skincare routine and adding in more moisture. The Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil is a favorite that I just re-bought - it’s light, but very hydrating and I have been adding it on top of my regular products overnight. - D
What We’re Making
Now that most of the leaves are off the trees, I am fully leaning into the holiday spirit and planning to put up my decorations and my tree this week! I’m excited to have twinkling lights and a little bit of extra time to admire my collection of all different decorative Christmas trees. - D
Chicken Pot Pie Soup from Ina Garten’s new book Modern Comfort Food. It looks so cozy and wintery! I can’t wait to make this recipe for dinner one night this week with a big green salad. -E
