What We’re Reading and Watching

  • I treated myself to HBO Max last week and was so excited to watch the Anna Kendrick show, Love Life. Anyone who lived and dated in New York in their 20’s or 30’s will definitely connect with this show, minus the fact that she never really gets on dating apps. I loved the extended friend group and how those relationships evolved and also very much coveted her wardrobe evolution as she got more successful! I highly recommend for your next binge. - D

  • My reading tear continues, and my nostalgia for the years I lived in NYC, so this week I read The Boys Club by Erica Katz. The book is about a first-year associate at a major law firm, who finds herself in the toxic world of M&A, where she is forced to work and play VERY hard to be successful. I read it in two days and loved slipping back into that finance world of my early 20’s. - D

  • You may have seen on our Instagram stories that I started watching the Bling Empire on Netflix this weekend and had a hard time turning it off to return to real life. It follows a group of incredibly wealthy and attractive Asian friends living in LA in real life Crazy Rich Asians style. They’re fighting over who knows the most exclusive jeweler in Paris, but also dealing with regular person relationship issues, struggles with fertility, and family drama. It’s just the right balance of over the top lavish and vulnerability and I was hooked! - E

What We’re Buying

  • A friend from work recommended that I buy the Trader Joe’s Watermelon Jerky and add a piece or two to my water for some extra flavor. It’s made hydrating way more fun this week! - D

  • It’s that time of year when I need ALL of the hydration. My lips tend to get super dry, so I have been keeping the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask next to my bed and putting it on at night. It’s been keeping my lips in great shape, even on days when I am out and about I don’t want to wear anything too heavy on my lips under my masks. - D

  • I’ve been living in this Everlane cashmere sweater. It’s light but also cozy and the higher neckline feels fresh. -E

What We’re Making

  • We’ve been cooking a bunch of recipes from the new Barefoot Contessa Cookbook, Modern Comfort Food, so check back on Wednesday for a full post on that! - D and E

  • I’m very inspired by the Camille Styles Re:set Challenge, which starts today. The goal for the first day is to refresh your workspace, so I worked on the shelves that I just had built for my office and tried to clean them up and then fluff up their style. It was such a fun way to display some pottery the girls have made over the years, little pieces of art that I didn’t have a home for and some china pieces that my grandmother gave me. Plus, now I can find all of my stationery, which is so satisfying! - E
