Three Things Eloise is Talking About This Week:

Giant Bubble Wand: After being cooped up at home, I’m so excited for better weather and my emotional state is in a place where I will buying anything that looks like it will entertain my kids outdoors right now. Some of the stuff has definitely been hit or miss, but we just got this giant bubble wand that has really delivered. It makes the biggest, coolest bubbles I’ve ever seen, one batch of bubble liquid lasted for more than an hour, and as bonus all of my kids were able to work the bubble making wand on their own, which meant that I didn’t have to assist! (You do need need to have the right kind of dish soap for the liquid, we tried it with an eco-friendly dish soap and it wasn’t great, but when we made it with Dawn pure essentials, it was magical.)

The Great on Hulu: This show is a loose take on the story of Catherine the Great, the empress of Russia, delivered in a stylized way that reminds me of a mix of Sophia Coppola and Wes Anderson movies-an explicit, dead pan type of humor and very beautiful sets and costumes. I love anything Catherine the Great (intelligent women triumphing over egotistical men!) and have read this book and watched this show about her in the past year, so I can tell that The Great takes some definite liberties with accuracy, but it’s still wickedly fun and entertaining!

The Drama with the cast of Southern Charm: When Cameron announced that she was leaving Southern Charm, one of my favorite Bravo shows, I was sad to see her go. When rumors started trickling around that it was because her husband was caught in a long term affair, I was upset for her and her lovely family. But then it came out that Naomi and Chelsea were also leaving, and that supposedly Kathryn was behind all of the rumors and then Landon and Ashley putting in their two cents on the situation-talk about rocking my world! I had to put on my internet sleuthing hat and thoroughly investigate the situation. Now, as I’m recovering in the aftermath, I’m mostly disappointed that the show was so toxic that the women felt their only option was leaving the show. I really enjoyed watching the ladies calling the guys on their sexist ways last season, and watching them succeed in business and life, and I’m not looking forward to a season that doesn’t have that balance. Craig is still the best, but I’m not sure if he’s enough of a counterbalance to some of the antics that the other guys pull.

Three Things Dinah is Talking About This Week:

Hammock Time: I’ve been trying to find creative ways to be outside that don’t involve yard work, exercise or being in the sun and this week took the initiative to set up my parent’s hammock in a shady corner of the yard. It was easy enough to assemble on my own and it’s become my new favorite spot to read or talk to a friend on the phone. Laying in a hammock  also helps this all to feel a little bit more like vacation. I’ve linked to one that’s similar to the one we have, as it’s a few years old!

Taylor Nation: We are huge Taylor fans and were devastated to be missing the LoverFest concert this summer, especially after all the effort we put into getting tickets! When she announced her “City of Lover” concert special, I knew it was going to be the highlight of the week! You can watch it on Disney+ and Hulu - I was especially excited that she did highlights from Lover mixed with some of our favorite older songs (All Too Well!!!! If you know, you know).

Tanya Taylor/summersalt Collab: These are two of the best, size-inclusive brands out there. I LOVE Tanya Taylor’s prints and knew that they would make the cutest bathing suits in summersalt’s universally flattering cuts. Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, this capsule collection is making summer time dreams come true. Plus, our fave Grace Atwood is one of the stars of the campaign!
