Three Things Eloise is Talking About This Week:

Musical Chairs by Amy Poeppel: I read this book this weekend and it was so perfect. If I ever wrote a book, I would hope that it would be exactly like this one and I can’t recommend it enough. When Belinda leaves NYC for her Connecticut farmhouse, she dsicovers that it’s vintage charm has taken a turn for the worse and it needs some serious repairs, At the same time, her career as a cellist in a trio with her best and oldest friend Will is in flux, her adult children show up for the summer, and her father, a famouse conductor has some drama of his own at his fancy estate nearby. The cast of characters and hijinks is intelligent and warm and funny and the perfect antidote to real world problems!

Tub O’Towels: I was influenced into buying these last spring by Grace Atwood and just ordered a second round of them this weekend after recommending them to a friend. I’ve been using them to clean our kitchen cabinets and any marks or scuffs on woodwork or doors or light switches and they work so well! I also give them to my kids and will put on music and have everyone wipe down base boards or cabinets or anything other hard surfaces (not fancy wood or marble) that they can reach and it helps me to keep up with cleaning.

Sherpa Fleece Jacket from J. Crew: I’ve been seeing so many shearling jackets on blogs recently, but they were either very expensive or a little too much look for me. This shorter fleece version looks right up my alley and like it would go with a dress or jeans or leggings. I’ve been waiting for it to go on sale-it seems like J. Crew always has a promo going, but it hasn’t yet, so I may have to order it at full price to give it a try.

Three Things Dinah is Talking About This Week:

GrandeLASH: Sometimes Eloise and I find out that we have been doing the same thing without talking about it, so when I read a few weeks ago that she had been using Revitalash, I laughed out loud since I had just started using GrandeLASH! I chose it because it’s a little bit less expensive than other similar products, but still had strong reviews. I’ve been very happy with the results, definitely seeing my lashes get longer on both the top and bottom, although I’m not sure if they are getting fuller. I also have had a little bit of irritation, nothing that hurts or looks bad, but mostly my eyes feeling a little bit crusty in the morning. Overall, I’m planning to keep on using it and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Chat Room: I’m sure that we will get Eloise’s thoughts on this in her Friday post, but I caught the premier of Chat Room, the new late night Bravo show on after WWHL, last night and it was so much fun! I’m a big fan of the line up of women (Kate Chastain, Gizelle Bryant, Porsha Williams and Hannah Berner), and getting their perspective as past and current Bravo show cast members on other Bravo-lebrities is a hilarious and sharp idea! There were a few wrinkles, but I’m sure they will get smoothed out in a few episodes.

Ro’s Argan: My skin has definitely been dry with the change from summer to fall, and I have turned to one of my favorite Lush products for help. I don’t usually love rose scents, but the Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner is a big exception. You use in the shower after cleansing, then quickly rinse off any excess. The combination of the scent with the hydrating argan oil leave my skin so soft and yummy smelling!
