What We’re Reading and Watching
The Great British Baking Show released a new season on Netflix - the relaxing and charming show I needed! - D
I’ve been listening to the book Lilac Girls about American, Polish and German women during WWII and am loving the three different narrators and how their stories intertwine, although it’s definitely very sad in parts. - D
I think I’m going to have to give and resubscribe to HBO Mac because I want to watch The Vow, a highly reviewed documentary about the NXIVM cult, the Love Stories series starring Anna Kendrick, and the new version of CATS which is supposed to be terrible, but I know that the girls and I will have so much fun hate watching it. Plus, Anne Hathaway is starring in a new version of Roald Dahl’s The Witches which is coming out in time for Halloween. - E
What We’re Buying
I needed a pick me up this week, and since I’m trying to stick to a budget these days, I went to Primark for a little bit of “fast fashion” retail therapy. This sweater and few others made their way into my bag, and I think it’s going to be a perfect cozy party look! - D
I just read the Into The Gloss interview with Jenna Lyons, and I’m so intrigued by her more natural looking lash line, Loveseen. Her skin also looks amazing and I want to try all of her skin care recommendations, especially the Biologique Recherche Masque Vernix. - E
What We’re Making
Work has been crazy, so easy dinners are the only way I’m eating healthy. I made a big pot of Ina Garten’s Chicken Chili this week to carry me through. - D
Half-Baked Harvest does it again with an easy and delicious sheet pan dinner. I made the Weeknight Sticky Ginger Sesame Chicken Meatballs with broccoli and brown rice and it was so good! Cece couldn’t get enough and I’m making them again this week but planning to double the recipe because it was so popular. - E
