Eloise's Sephora Sale Picks

It’s that time of year again! The Sephora sale is here and the weather is (hopefully!) making the switch to spring. I, for one, will be very happy to say goodbye to the dry winter air and the eight layers of moisturizer that my skin seemed to need this winter. I’ve broken down my picks for the morning based on what I use regularly. As you’ll see, my morning routine is pretty simple, unlike my nighttime routine which is all over the place. I would also love your recs if you have any favorite products that you think I should try!

Morning Routine:

I know I said I had simplified my morning routine, and then I somehow filled a whole grid with products that I use, haha! I put them in the order that I apply them, so I start with:

  1. Summer Fridays CC Me Serum: Dinah gave me this for Christmas and I got really into it and have purchased it again since then. It has Vitamin C and Niacinamide in it, but is still gentle and lightly moisturizing. Arielle Lorre on The Blonde Files podcast also talks about it all the time and I feel like she has good skincare recs.

  2. The I tap on the Biossance Squalane and Marine Algae Eye Cream. It’s moisturizing and has a nice pale pink color.

  3. Then I’ll put on some of the Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Moisturizer. It’s very light and doesn’t clog my pores, which is always my biggest issue with moisturizers. Sometimes I’ll layer the Biossance Vitamin C Rose Oil over that, if I’m feeling very dry, or sometimes I’ll use just the oil, It depends on my skin is feeling that day. I have dry skin but also easily clogged pores, and I’ve found that these two products both give a good hit of moisture without causing any problems.

  4. Then, if I’m feeling puffy in the face, I’ll run my Herbivore Pink Quartz Gua Sha over my neck and face. There are simple instructions that come with the tool or I also recommend Lisa Eldridge’s YouTube video on lymphatic drainage for the face. It really help to depuff in just a few minutes and really wakes my skin up.

  5. Then I’ll put on some sunscreen. I use the Supergoop! Play sunscreen most of the year because it add a bit of moisture and I feel like it really seals the other moisturizers in, if that makes sense? But if it’s really hot or I’m feeling like something lighter, then I use the Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen because it’s insanely light and invisible.

  6. The last step for me is the Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint and SPF (on a cloudy day or if I’m doing my skincare before we go out at night, I’ll skip the sunscreen and just use this). I have never liked foundation on my face, but this has been a game changer for me. It’s an oil/serum/spf and it gives me just enough coverage to even my skin out a little bit, without looking or feeling like I’ve got anything heavy on. It also gives an amazing subtle glow that last and it doesn’t sink into creases or fine lines. I’m a huge fan!
