Three Things Eloise is Talking About This Week:
Prolon: My friend Karen was raving to me about her results with the Prolon, a five day fast-mimicking diet, which she has done several times. I was so intrigued her results-insane energy levels, weight loss especially in the abdominal area, and amazing sleep, that I ordered the program last week and started it on Sunday. The program was created by Dr. Valter Longo and has been seen on GOOP and the GOOP Lab on Netflix, where Gwyneth does the program for its anti-aging results. It's five days worth of food, vitamins, and teas, with each day in its own box so that you know exactly what to consume that day. I did great the first day, but that day has the most calories, so we’ll see how the rest of the week goes. I’ve never attempted a strict regimen like this before, so I’m nervous, but I’m telling myself that anything is possible for only a few days!
RomComPods: Honeymoon For One: Becca Freeman, from one of my favorite podcasts, Bad on Paper, is the co-creator of this brand new podcast. It tells the fictional story of Claire, who gets dumped right before her wedding and decides to go to Italy for her honeymoon alone. It comes out in weekly half hour episodes and I’m saving up a few weeks for my long drive next week. It’s actually making me excited to head up 95 while immersing myself in the podcast and eating gummy candy.
Potential Real Housewives Drama: Dinah alerted me last night to some very interesting news-Kameron Westcott from Real Housewives of Dallas has deleted her instagram. Why Kameron?? I need to know! Kameron is one of my favorites and has been posting tons of cute pictures of her kids homeschooling at Westcott Academy and she’s gotten very good at TikTok videos and has been reposting them on Instagram as well. Since RHOD has just started filming again, this seems very strange! Let me know if anyone knows what’s going on.
Three Things Dinah is Talking About This Week:
Take Me to England: I love the British countryside life and traditional aesthetic, so when I discovered Hill House Vintage on Instagram I immediately fell in love. True to the name, Paula’s tableauxs feature vintage-inspired style and silhouettes, and stunning but understated country interiors. You get a sense that she loves a good bargain, knows her way around an estate sale, is friends with the owners of the best consignment shops and has a china cabinet full of wonders. There are pillows everywhere - and design with comfort in mind is the best kind in my opinion.
Sunglass Style: I tend to be a little bit rough on my sunglasses - while I can take care of nice bag or do a 10 step skincare routine, I will never put my sunglasses in a case before I throw them into my purse. My quest for cute and inexpensive sunglasses basically happens every year since I inevitably will break them within a few months. This year, I bought those Amazon sunglasses that I have seen everyone from Grace Atwood to the ladies at Somewhere Lately wearing. They are honestly kind of huge on my face, but I’m 95% sure it’s in a fabulous way!
Summer Polish: I love having what I call “Bachelor Contestant” nails on my hands in the summer, which is a shade that’s almost white, and looks great with a tan. You see the contestants wearing similar shades all the time because they tend to match most outfits and chips aren’t super visible! My current favorite is Essie’s “Lighten the Mood” which has just the right amount of pink to soften it a bit and keep it from being full-on white.
