Weekly Bravo Cocktail Party: March 5th

We had a lot of relationships in limbo on Bravo this week, and while some were able to make the leap to a better place, others fell apart completely. We had “the worst day ever” on Summer House with the very sad passing of Carl’s brother’s passing and the metaphorical death of Lindsay and Stephen’s relationship and Amanda and Hannah’s friendship. In Dallas, Brandi was finally to bring about the healing of D’Andra and Kary’s fight through therapy techniques, but we also saw Kameron, Stephanie and Brandi giving Tiffany a hard time. The New Jersey ladies relationship with fashion continues to be questionable, and we also seem to have reached an impasse between Teresa and Jackie.

Who’s side am I on in all of these conflicts? I’ll give you a hint: it definitely isn’t Hannah….

Photo by Bravo. Paige is mostly managing to stay out of the drama between Hannah and Amanda but that doesn’t mean that her hot takes on the fight are any less entertaining.

Who Didn’t Make the Guest List:

Brandi: She was doing so well early in the episode with staying up all night partying with Kary and then helping D’Andra and Kary heal their never ending fight with the techniques she learned in therapy. As we get into her stress about Tiffany, I think that it’s okay that she’s nervous around Tiffany it it’s because her previous mistakes are still weighing heavily on her mind because, as Stephanie said, that’s all about her own self-criticism and nothing that Tiffany is doing. However, if she feels like she can never relax because she might say something that offends Tiffany, that’s a little concerning-is she worried that racist humor is just going to fall out of her mouth? And I’m nervous that the final scene of the episode is leading us to a place where she’s putting the blame on Tiffany, which would not be right.

Luke: The double flowers for Lindsay and Ciara were so random. Actually, the whole way he’s pursuing Ciara is just plain awkward.

Hannah: I was honestly flabbergasted that she couldn’t admit that what she said to Amanda was rude. Sure, Amand should have also apologized for throwing the glass, but how could she when Hannah kept upping the fights, saying that their friendship was toxic and that she was done with it. I mean, what?!? Amanda has been so nice to her during all of her boring whining about Luke. I was shocked.

Stephanie and Kameron: I didn’t like the way they ganged up on Tiffany at that dinner. Yes, Tiffany was bragging and not a great hostess but to have two women come at you and criticize everything you said one evening when you were admittedly nervous and stressed out, just doesn’t seem right.

Stephen and Lindsay: Guys, what was that birthday fight about? I mean, I get that the birthday dinner Stephen put together wasn’t the most impressive thing, but was it really worth breaking up over? Lindsay didn’t even wait to see if he had gotten her a good present before she got mad. Also, it’s hard to plan something cool during quarantine, which is something that even inveterate party planners like myself had to come to terms with over the past year. Was she mad because she was hoping that he was going to propose? Again, I don’t even feel like she gave him time to do that before she launched into it. For all she knew, he was going to pop the question during dessert!

Who Made the Guest List:

Carl: He’s so sweet and I love him.

Amanda: Team Amanda all the way.

Paige: I loved her hot takes on the fight between Hannah and Amanda and was impressed with her ability to mostly stay out of the fight between her two best friends.

Tiffany: She has her awkward moments and can be bossy, but I’m impressed overall with her attempts to make it work and her ability to take the criticism from Stephanie and Kameron without totally losing her mind. I felt terrible for her when Brandi brought all of that up at dinner-it isn’t Tiffany’s fault that Brandi said stupid things and I think she’s been very nice to Brandi all things considered.

Kameron: I didn’t like the way that she came at Tiffany, but I did love her mad hula hoop skills, her determination to get that bowl of chips on the boat, the prank she pulled on the ladies, and her attempts to diffuse the fight between D’Andra and Kary.

D’Andra: I was so happy that she was able to put the fight with Kary to rest and I loved her jokes about her booty and her meditation under the tree. That was so kooky and silly and it made me laugh.

Teresa: Was anyone else impressed and a little afraid of how smooth Teresa was when she called Joe to tell him that Melissa had been flirting and texting with another man? It was almost like she had been planning it for years or like she had done that before….

Jennifer: Was Jennifer actually the voice of reason in the whole infidelity prank? I found myself nodding along with her when she was expressing exactly what I was thinking about that prank. But then I didn’t love her bringing up the story about Joe not paying Teresa’s realtors husband, so our newfound friendship quickly hit the rocks.
