Kentucky Derby Party
Everything you need for a last minute Kentucky Derby party-it’s all available on Amazon Prime and should ship quickly. Just add a stop for Mint Julep ingredients (and maybe a Kentucky Bourbon Pie) and you should be good to go on race day.
I use a mix of the silver Mint Julep cups and the commemorative glasses that you can get each year. When we have our big Derby party, Chad loves to order the glasses in bulk and send them home with guests as party favors, just like you would do at the actual Derby race.
For my table decor, I bought some of the little plastic horses and spray painted them silver to scatter around the table and floral arrangements, and it added a whimsical touch. I love all of the runners with jockey silks because they’re so colorful and fun! I also use the silver Mint Julep cups as mini vases and will stick red roses or other flowers in them and scatter them on any side tables or smaller cocktail tables.
I also love the idea of having the horseshoes game outside for entertainment and some of the blow up horses for kids (or adults who’ve had a few Mint Juleps) to ride around on.
