I’ve been getting back into golf slowly but surely this year, and it’s been more fun and less stressful than I thought it would be. I played golf as a kid, but pretty much stopped once I got into college and my twenties. Last summer, I had a few lessons that got me going again, but then as soon as school started, my clubs began gathering dust again.

This spring, my friend Jenn and I decided that we were going to get back out on the course and see how rusty we were, and it went surprisingly well. (I will freely admit that “well” for me would probably be terrible for most golfers-I have very low standards for golf success, haha!). We’ve been walking nine holes and it’s a nice way to catch up with friends, get some fresh air and a walk, and have to concentrate on something that isn’t work or kids or construction projects.

I still don’t have the attention span for a full eighteen holes, but maybe I’ll get there some day! In the meantime, I really needed some cute new outfits to wear on the course. I love Tuckernuck for tennis, and then Athleta is always a solid option for sports clothes, but I didn’t even know that Vineyard Vines made really cute golf clothes for women! The patterns for their skorts are preppy happiness and I can’t wait to get out there in them. I’m sure it will make me a better player, right? -Eloise
