Three Things Eloise is Talking About This Week:

Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate and Glow Dream Mask: I found this overnight mask when I was looking for new clean skincare options to try this fall. It arrived a few days ago and I am loving it! It smells so good and it makes my skin baby soft the next day without breaking out.

JCrew Quilted Downtown Field Jacket: I’ve been looking for an army green jacket to incorporate into my fall wardrobe and this one hits all the right points. It’s got a slim cut, shiny brass buttons that dress it up a bit, and a quilted texture that makes it feel more farm and field. For a bonus, it’s also made with sustainable cotton through the Better Cotton Initiative.

Slim Aarons: The High Life: Chad and I watched this documentary about Slim Aarons and it was so good. We learned some surprising things about his early life, how he got started in his career and what he was like to work with, and what drove him to create this glimpse into the lives of the rich and glamorous. My new goal for the fall is to create more “Slim Aarons moments” in my life.

Three Things Dinah is Talking About This Week:

The Duchess: For the first time, this isn’t a royal-related recommendation, but it is a funny new dark comedy on Netflix. The main character is a single mother, who got knocked up by a British boy band member and is raising her tween daughter, running a successful business and making generally bad choices. I would compare it to a lighter Fleabag and definitely worth a binge, plus she wears the most incredible giant, jeweled and beaded headbands.

Hold Still: Okay, this is a royal family post, but it’s a good one! The lovely Duchess Kate has been working with the National Portrait Gallery to hold a competition called Hold Still. They asked people across the UK to submit photos that showed their experience during the pandemic, and today the unveiled the 100 images that will be part of a virtual exhibit and toured around the country. It’s a stirring look at how different people coped and struggled, with moments of joy and of deep pain. I have to admit that I teared up a bit looking at all of the images and thinking about what everyone around the world has been through this year.

Mexican Cauliflower Bowl: I’ve been very into this classic Goop recipe lately, as it’s pretty healthy and low-carb, but scratches my itch to eat Mexican food! I typically add a tiny sprinkle of cheese and an egg on top for some extra protein, which I need since I only eat two full meals a day because of intermittent fasting. Also, using the frozen cauliflower rice from Trader Joe’s makes it even easier to make!
